Is there any way to subscribe to get cloud sync (Windows + Android) from Europe?

Amazon AWS also has a free tier for S3 buckets that should be enough for syncing notes. I'm not a Sysadmin and found it relatively easy to setup, but the whole concept is a lot more technical than a simple Cloud Drive like the ones you're used to. You also don't need to understand all the underlying tech, in the end you just need to create a bucket and paste the corresponding information into SiYuan. A general tutorial on S3 on youtube will help you grasp the basics.

I just have managed, thanks to their help, to configure Leviia S3 sync (during the 15 day trial of Leviia and the 7 days trial of Siyuan). It is cheaper than AWS (5,99€ HT/To/month) and in Europe (France).

I contacted them cause at first I thought it was reserved for company but it is not.

I'll give you news if it works on the long run.

      Hi Michael,

if you are in germany: I am using Strato HiDrive S3 - Siyuan is working smooth out of the box with it. No issues (neither one of both is paying me for saying that, it's simply a fact).

Only in my company the IT-Guys are blocking the Siyuan-Servers (for Themes, Plugins, etc.) because the servers are in China. On my private firewall i opened outbound port 443 for my PCs for that servers. But the Strato Servers aren't blocked anyways.

      Best regards

Hey - will syncing with S3 stay free in the OSS version without premium subscription or are you planning to put syncing in generall behind paywall in the future? (I'm coming from Obsidian as syncing without their sync service is painfull)
