What does this renameable button do in Databases?

I see these 'Table' buttons:

I can rename them, but what purpose do they serve? In all the examples they are just called 'Table', why are they simply not the table name?

And what does the + do?

      This is the name of the view, which can be modified through the right-click menu; + is used to create a new view. Different views can be configured with different sorting and filtering, but share a set of data.
