How do I import folders?

I tried settings>import and importing a folder with .zip mardown files but it didn't work.
And why does the folder need to be .zip anyway?

Please import 'directory'

- directory
  - image_directory（It cannot be a hidden directory）
  - markdown_directory

I do NOT see an option to import just a directory with images.

OK, I give up. This app probably requires me to know how to modify and programme my own software in order to import files.
