The interface for interacting with the filters is very inconvenient

Hello!

Could you please let me know if there are any planned changes to the filter interaction interface?

As far as I know, many users rely on a tabular view to present and store information in their notes. This allows us to classify information and easily manipulate it using the filter system. However, following the latest updates, the filter interface has changed and become very inconvenient.

Now, the filter window has shifted to the right, becoming very small, narrow, and awkward to use. Previously, a filter dropdown appeared above each column, making the keyword list clearly visible, but now the workflow has become extremely inconvenient.

Could you please advise if there are any plans to improve or revert this interface, and if so, when exactly? These filters are a highly convenient and essential data management tool for us, making this a very pressing and important issue.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Anton

Could you share a screenshot of the filter panel and point out what is inconvenient—for example, its position, truncated option names, or extra steps to select values? Please also include your SiYuan version so we can reproduce the same behavior.

Thank you very much, everything works exactly as it should. It's much more convenient now!❤️

Thank you for the screenshots—they make the issue clear. The option list is too narrow to show longer names and too short to browse comfortably.

We’ve adjusted it to expand based on the option text and use more available vertical space while staying within the screen. The filter panel’s position remains unchanged for now.

Please give it a try when the next version is released and let us know how it works for you.

Thank you very much. You clearly and unambiguously understood the essence of the problem.
