Generalized English Translation

Hello Developers!

I have recently discovered your app and I am highly impressed! If I'm honest, I don't believe anything else on the market compares, especially when it comes to databases and the integrated functions available!

Perhaps my usage case is too varied. I have notes for data analysis, statistics, and code but I also need a visiual system to store marketing campaigns, look books, brand books, and catalogues. It's a big ask for a single system. I have tried them all: Notion, AFFiNE, Appflowy, Obsidian, and MANY more, yet none have all the features I need. Notion has come the closest but there have been blackouts, people losing their entire systems irretrievably, and it has started to flicker, pages disappearing and reappering. Not optimal! So I was elated to find your system seemed to respond to my needs.

However, I am highly visual and there are no videos to follow to really allow me to test the software. Okay. But the deeper I went, parts of the app, like the rollover text on the buttons is in Chinese! I respect it is a Chinese app. I am just hoping that you and/or the community can help complete the translation to 100% English.

Please accept my love letter to your app, I mean no disrespect! I will wait until you have gotten the time/resources to finalize the English translation. You have done amazing work here, and there is no reason, language aside, you aren't listed as a top choice for PKMs. So, I am hoping this is in the works. This is much too good an app to pass up!

      I have what can best be described as "zero-skills, but youthful exhuberance", so I can't help with much, but I and many like myself would be very happy to have a resource like this. I am learning as I go and trying to use what very liitle is available in English to do so. Anyway, I hope this can be prioritized. Thanks to all those willing to help!

      Siyuan is a two member project created by Daniel and his wife. Both of them are great developers, and they've been working on this project for years. Siyuan has a high reputation in the open-source community here in China, and it is beginning to gain attention beyond borders.

      However given the fact that there are only two developers working on Siyuan full time, it might take a bit of time until we have decent English localization. Maybe someone can convince Daniel to create a Crowdin project for Siyuan to speed it up? lol

      I don't know TypeScript, or, for that matter, web dev in general, but I'd be interested to help translating (with automated translation, I regrettably don't know Mandarin either).

      I am particularly interested in the plugins, e.g. @Achuan-2's plugins (e.g. task management, copilot).

      I have not found many missing translations in the main Siyuan note app itself, but I do believe the existing interface and user guide translations could use a review to become more idiomatic. I could help with that too, potentially under your guidance @benakdev .
